Forgiveness
I have been sitting with this in the totality of all that I am for a while now.
I tend to usually sit with this in the understanding and practice of forgiveness in relation to specific hurts and harms inflicted on me by others and on others by me within my memory life time frame.
But forgiveness, as it relates to the totality of all that I am extends far beyond that to things picked up and held through my connections to those who came long before me in all the labelled host containers they showed up in.
So today I invite you to sit with me wherever you are and take a slow deep breath in and say with me "I forgive them, all of them, for what they did to us - known and unknown." Slowly exhale.
Inhale slowly again and say with me "I forgive us, all of us, for all that we did to them - known and unknown". Exhale slowly.
Inhale slowly and say with me "I forgive them, all of them, for what they did to me - known and unknown." Exhale slowly.
Inhale slowly and say with me "I forgive myself for what I did to them - known and unknown." Exhale slowly.
Inhale slowly and say with me "I now release this intention and any result I feel attached to seeing manifest. God knows better than I how to handle things from here. And so I let go and let God.
In this brief exercise we hold in our hearts the desire to free ourselves and others from the bondages that link us together in the dreams of pain and death sealed upon us by the false promise of freedom through revenge unforgiveness promised and never delivered upon.
Sit in the quiet space for as long as you like.
